NEW WEBSITE
One thing became very apparent yesterday after such a busy race day. We need to move over to the new website as there is a club forum and gallery to post all your news and pictures.
We can also say that we are now open for club membership, you need to download the form on the contact/join us page and pass it back to Michelle or mail to the address on the form with a cheque.
This is another major development for Lymm Runners and will give everyone the chance to get involved and stay in touch.
So its now time to change to….. drum roll please………………….. www.lymmrunners.org.uk
See you on the dark side!

Super Sunday
What a day it’s been. I can hardly keep up! Where do I start?
The SLR had a a crackin run apparently, Wee Julie enjoyed the natter. This came in from Run leader Jeff:
Nice run this morning with 5 dedicated folks.
Chris, I warned you I have no sense of direction and you should make the route easy. Despite it being in the shape of a square, we managed to miss the first left turn and ended with 10 miles instead of 8.7 miles. Please next time make it a circle!
Enjoyed the conversation and the chance to get out. Thanks to all.
Manchester had a great atmosphere today, we seemed to have about 10 LR peeps out of the 36,000 who took part in the 10k. Various mail has come in:
Wendy: Wanted sub 56, was on target but struggled at 7K, Lynsey Sutton 55:44 and Rachael Murphy 55:45 – both held the pace and got fab times I’m very envious of, myself, exactly the same as last year, slowed at 7k (Even walked), need to overcome this pain barrier but how?. Still, about a minute quicker on last year at 57:33 brill atmosphere! Well done on a great run, 42 is awesome! Martin Holohan got a PB at 45:28, Ian Webb 49:03, Dawn Richardson 1:02:29, Amber Webb not accurate but just over the hour I think. See you Tuesday – I want to be fitter! Wendy Kearsley
Helen J: Hi chris, hope you had fun at the Manchester run! I think I found your time – well run! I have my official time which was 48.11. See you next Thursday I expect! Helen x
Tash: Hi all
Did 10k in just under an hour- 59 mins I think… not a pb but I really pushed myself so feel pleased with completing in under an hour!… Photos to follow- especially good as Lymm runners is now famous- managed to grab a pic with the legend Colin Jackson in the lymm runners vest… most excellant!!! See you all Tues x
Well done everyone, from my point of view, the best part of the day……….. starting in club colours! Priceless.
Also racing today was Paul at the Chester Marathon. He emailed saying:
Did you have a successful 10km race in Manchester. How did our runners get on?
I ran the Chester half today. Conditions were fairly good. Finished in 1hr 24 which was fairly ok. Provisional results indicated that I came 53rd out of 3000 runners and 10th for my age cat. I was looking at a 1hr 23. So more training is needed. Hopefully see you on Tuesday evening. If need be I will work on some speed training with group A.
Race Weekend
A number of us are racing this weekend with about 10 at the Great Manchester Run and Paul on his lonesome at the Chester Half. I will be around the g-Mex/Midland for 8.45/9.00 if you are there, mobile is 07803 798998.
Make sure you take some pictures for the gallery of the new website, going live very very soon. I want all your times emailing to me on Sunday – no excuses on lymmrunners@gmail.com. Also any photo links from official pictures.
Have a great weekend everyone and happy running.
Chris
Sunday Long Run
Jeff has kindly volunteered to lead the SLR this weekend. I have put the route on the Schedule page but it is also HERE , it is an easy route that goes down the canal to Dunham and left on School lane and left again to return via the TPT. 8.7 miles with no hills. Usual time of 8am at the Library. Enjoy!

Sunday Long Run Leader required
Lots going on this weekend with big races in Manchester and Chester.
There are about 9 of us doing the Manchester 10k on Sunday with about 35,000 others. Is anyone else going off early? Would be good to meet up outside the G-Mex if possible to get some pictures. Paul is off to Chester for the Half Marathon also this Sunday.
We need a run leader for the SLR this week. Kieran can be around for the first hour (8 – 9am), but it would be great for someone to volunteer to lead the run. A nice easy paced 8miles or so is what we need. I can do a route for you if necessary, let me know thru lymmrunners@gmail.com or on Thursday evening run. But sooner the better to be honest.
Great run last night with two new faces joining us for the first time.

Heads-up, SLR is on the site for this week. 8.25 miles.
See you at 8 on sunday.
Club Vests
I have received this morning 3 new club vests. Various people have races imminently and wanted some club kit quickly, can anyone get printing done tomorrow. Does anyone know of a local place that could print our name on the front quickly? We don’t need the logo, just the name. If you know of anyone please let me know.
These can be used by anyone who needs a race vest before the main order is sent. Julie is taking one to Glasgow this weekend, Paul is at Chester Half next week along with Helen doing the Edinburgh marathon, so lots going on.
Which reminds me, we want your race details, times and reports. We could do with a club bulletin/newsletter (Kathryn!) to celebrate everyone’s race successes and let everyone know the latest news, etc. Can only be done when the membership starts though and we collect email addresses.
See you later
Chris
Tattenhall Tough Team
I have put the race route and profile map, along with entry form on to the Race Entries page for the Tattenhall Tough Team on the 18th June. This is the page link http://www.tattenhallrunners.com/21.html . Who’s up for it?

First race entered as a Lymm Runner
I have just entered my first race as an official Lymm Runner. Is this THE first or has someone beaten me to it? I need a club vest for the 31st May.
